ESL Teacher

Colegio Quisqueya (CEQUISA) seeks ESL and English Social Studies teachers for their new ESL module.



CEQUISA has offered quality education in Santiago for 40 years and is in the process of adapting their program to include a more intensive EFL program to meet the needs of the population. CEQUISA serves about 550 students, and has been recognized for its contributions in the community. Its students have won local and national awards in Math and Spanish Language and Literature, Sports and theater.



ESL and Social Studies teachers are required to plan and implement classes according to the school's curriculum, work in collaboration with other teachers to make strategic plans for each group and take part in school activities. The school is looking for enthusiastic applicants, who have a strong desire to enhance the educational value of their students and prepare CEQUISA students for the future.



The positions do not require Spanish, though it is helpful. Teaching experience is helpful. A bachelor's degree in any subject area is necessary.



The position pays a locally fair, monthly stipend and housing. The school also sponsors various field trips throughout the year for international staff. Teachers would need to arrive in Santiago on or before August 10th, 2014.
