Teach and Explore Ancient Egypt - A World To Explore

The Canadian Education Council is a non-profit organization based out of Vancouver, BC, with a mission to bring Canadian education programs to overseas partners. We are establishing a CEC Learning Centre in Cairo, Egypt which will open its doors in December 2016. The Learning Centre offers Academic and Conversation English, Testing, Vocational Training, and Online Learning Programs.

The Learning Centre is a brand-new 5 story building near Cairo airport with 4 floors of classroom space with modern facilities. The centre houses a coffee shop, classrooms, and offices for the CEC.

We are seeking qualified Teachers of English looking to develop their overseas career in ancient Egypt. Cairo is rich in history but also offers modern conveniences, from shopping malls and movie theatres to cheap restaurants with food from all over the world, to ordering food and groceries to your door or ordering an Uber ride. Egypt is the commercial and cultural centre of the Middle East and North Africa with a large expat community.

Egypt offers museums, the Pyramids, the Red Sea, Alexandria, and easy/cheap access to the Middle East, Mediterranean, Europe, and Africa.

We are hiring our start-up teaching team and we welcome teaching couples or teaching friends that would like to work at the same school. Teachers will deliver CEC Language Courses and Tests to students from teens through adults.

Qualifications:

Canadian Citizenship preferred
Teachers must possess:
Native Speaker of English
An undergraduate degree
Canadian teacher certification preferred
ELL/ESL experience
Travel experience outside North America

Accommodation: Furnished accommodation provided in new buildings walking distance to the Centre.
Work Permit: The Centre will sponsor the 1 year residency permit which allows teachers to legally work in Egypt.

Vacation: National Holidays (~14 days) + 2 weeks vacation.
